Spirituality - Is What You Believe the "Truth"?
How do you define spirituality? Is spirituality a mystical experience or a way of life?
"What's your religion?" It used to be such a simple question to answer. But now you might be "spiritual but not religious" – or raised in one faith but practicing another. Maybe you're a Methodist but think of yourself more as an evangelical, or a seeker who is anti-religion – or born again. The old categories don't seem to work because the religious landscape has changed so much.
In an effort to find the "Truth" about God, religion, and spirituality this page has been created. When we think of spirituality, we may be thinking of meditation, karma, astrology, Feng Shui, reincarnation, or yoga. With all due respect, the type of spirituality we are going to concentrate on this web site is a relationship with God and His son, Jesus Christ.
Now many non-believers may be saying that there can be many truths and beliefs about religion and spirtuality, but when it comes to God, there is only one truth. The truth is, God created the whole world and everything in it. The Bible states that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. By creation, not evolution, or the Big Bang, is how the world was formed. The Bible also states that the Word is God, and since the Bible is the Word of God, it either has to be the truth, or everything in it is a lie.
Do you believe the Word of God, or some other lie, theory, or the scientific rhetoric? What you believe may or may not be the truth, but you do have a choice to believe what you want. In any case, there can only be one truth when it comes to God. If one statement is true, the other has to be a lie. So make certain to search out the truth, and when you find it, follow it.
