Stress and Weight LossStress and Weight Loss

Many of us struggle with stress and weight loss on a daily basis. Their are many reasons we get stressed out, including the aging process, our jobs, our children, weight loss or maintaining a healthy weight, and most importantly, our health.

In one of my archived TriVita Wellness Reports, TriVita’s Previous Chief Science Officer, Brazos Minshew, the focus is placed on stress and how it relates to obesity. If your life is filled with stress, Mr. Minshew has some good advice for you. If you’re struggling to lose weight, continue to read. I’ve pulled some key points from of the article.

I know that the person enduring unimaginable stress is more likely to be obese – even morbidly obese. This is a physiological reaction from the immune system and the process of homeostasis (the process that pulls us back together when stress is pulling us apart).

Worry is the stress that pulls us apart. However, worry goes beyond the mental and emotional process that causes distress.

He goes on to explain worry, something that a lot of us face on a daily basis. So what is worry?

Worry is the process of anticipating events or outcomes that are possible but unknown. For example, we are all worried about our health and the health of loved ones. As long as no distressing symptoms occur, our level of worry is minimal. However, a new pain or ache, a lump or bump, a change that is not anticipated sends our “worrier” into overdrive. The recent downturn in the world economy has created fertile soil as a new source of worry.

The process of worry is basically the same whether the concern is large or small, for ourselves or others we care about:

  1. Our senses carry information to us from outside or inside our body. These are our five senses (touch, taste, sound, smell and sight) plus our intuition – the ability to “fill in the blanks” of the unknown based on our experience and intellect.
  2. We project what may happen in the future and assess whether or not we have the resources needed to cope with anticipated outcomes.

Worry is a survival mechanism because it allows us to forecast with some accuracy what resources we may soon need. We do this through our experience and intellect. With a bad experience or two in our history, we may also get into the habit of always predicting bad outcomes. This is called “catastrophic thinking” because we anticipate catastrophes from even normal, everyday events. So, a simple fever is bubonic plague and a skin rash must be Ebola virus!

To prepare for these awful events we may initiate the fight or flight response, releasing copious amounts of adrenaline. Or, based on past failures to cope, we may select an opposite response called learned helplessness, releasing immune-suppressing hormones and chemicals.

Now that we all know what worry is, how is it linked to obesity?

Interestingly, worry has an effect on our appetite and metabolism. For example, when worry triggers the fight or flight stress response, our liver will dump enormous amounts of sugar into our bloodstream. Our pancreas will also secrete huge amounts of insulin into our system to carry that sugar into the muscles to fight-or-flee as a response to the emergency. In chronic worry we simply never get to use all that energy and the hormone cortisol stores it in the fat cells of our abdomen, etc. These fluctuations in metabolism will often create eating binges where we feel we can’t get satisfied no matter how much we eat.

Both fight-or-flight and learned helplessness trigger your body (especially your muscles, your “muscle worry”) to anticipate future energy use. So, the muscles and adipose (fat) tissues store energy as fat and the result is that you gain weight. Stress and worry all by themselves can create obesity – even if you eat a perfect diet!

So, is there anything that we can do to prevent us from gaining weight, as a result of being under tremendous stress?

  • Recognizing the problem is always the first step. This is difficult because we live in a stressful world; there are real dangers requiring fight-or-flight responses. Also, people really do get sick with catastrophic illness, though not so many get bubonic plague or Ebola virus! It would be foolish to ignore danger signals and face real catastrophe. That said, the majority of the things we worry about never happen, do they? Train yourself to appraise situations correctly to reduce stress and worry (see the article “Think Therapy” below). Recognize that stress and worry elicit powerful hormones that need to be discharged. Exercise is the best way to get rid of these pesky hormones. And even three deep breaths can reduce the anxiety you feel when stressed.
  • Nutrition plays a vital role in breaking the stress/worry/obesity connection. First, adaptogens interrupt the cycle of stress and allow us to face our challenges with renewed resources; we will be able to cope with more issues with the greater resources provided by adaptogens. Next, specific nutrients found in some weight loss capsules break the cortisol cycle and discourage our body from storing “worry” in our fat cells!

The day-to-day stresses we face will not end. And for the present, there will always be another world tragedy looming on the horizon, such as an economic downturn. Learn to appraise them without panicking. Build a bulwark against stress with adaptogens. Help break the cycle of cortisol with popular weight loss capsules. Learn and live the 10 Essentials for lifetime wellness!

To back up what was mentioned in the previous article, look at some “health problems related to stress”: 10 Health Problems Related to Stress. Within the previous article, there are also some additional “stress relief” tips that could help.

I’ve always liked the advice, “recognizing the problem is always the first step”, because until we realize we have a problem, we will do nothing about it. Before we can take a step (step number two) in the right direction, we need to know the direction.

Many of us don’t know that we’re overweight. It’s not until we get on the scale, or check our body mass index (BMI) that we realize that we have a weight problem. Once we understand that there is a problem, we can do something about it. As with weight loss, it will not happen until we understand the problem and take the first step to do something about it.

A popular weight loss system has been mentioned as a means to “discourage our body from storing ‘worry’ in our fat cells.” Although that may be true, what does it mean? I’ve also heard that the aforementioned weight loss system may be one of the easiest systems to follow.

If you’re looking to lose weight, relieve stress, and live a healthier lifestyle, take the first step. To learn more about TriVita®, or the popular weight loss system, click on one of the previous links.

Weight LossWeight Loss

I know many of you have been trying to lose weight ever since your new year’s resolution, and if you’re like most people, it’s been a struggle. Why is it that losing weight is so hard? Why do so many people struggle with their weight? Well, it may be that you are not receiving the proper information, thus you are not educated enough on the “mechanics of weight loss.”

There are certain things you need to know about your body and what it takes to lose weight. It’s quite possible that this is what you’ve been missing. And, who better to explain weight loss than TriVita’s Chief Science Officer, Brazos Minshew. I’ve posted his latest Wellness Report article below.

Tools for Summertime Weight Loss
by Brazos Minshew

Nearly half of all people in North America make a resolution at the beginning of the year to lose weight. The next most common time for embarking on a weight-loss program is in the summertime: the “swimsuit season.” So now is the perfect time for an encouraging article on how to reach your weight-loss goals.

Unfortunately, being overweight is not simply an ornamental problem; it’s not simply about how we look. It is about how well we are. It’s about how much energy we have for the people we love, and how much vitality we have for the commitments we make. It’s about how successful or unsuccessful we will be at reaching our goals and living a life of purpose and meaning. It’s that serious.

Mechanics of weight loss

Let’s review several steps for weight loss that we have gathered from expert sources:

1. Find your Ideal Body Weight range using the Body Mass Index chart below.

2. Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) using the calculator below. This is the amount of energy you burn at rest. Reduce your daily calorie intake to match this number.

3. Decide how much weight you want to lose each week. Please understand, weight loss of more than 2 pounds per week is unrealistic and probably dangerous. Your goal is to lose fat; rapid weight loss usually comes from water (which you need), muscle (which you need) and bone (yes, you need that too!).

4. Get started: Reduce your caloric intake to match your BMR and increase your activity to burn 1/2 to 2 pounds of fat per week.

  • Always eat breakfast.
  • Never eat within 2 hours of bedtime.
  • Morning exercise is better than evening exercise, but both are good.
  • Never consume more than 400 calories in an hour.
  • Eat according to an organized plan. For example, The South Beach Diet, Eat More – Weigh Less by Dean Ornish, The Sonoma Diet (my favorite Mediterranean diet plan), etc.
  • Do both aerobic and resistance exercises most days of the week to meet your fat loss goals.

Remember, your sense of purpose will dictate your actions step by step!

Speed bumps

Somewhere along the way you are going to experience discouragement, disappointment or despondency. It may be when you hit a weight loss plateau. It may be when you see others doing what you used to do and the old habits pull at your heart. It may be when those inner voices – I call them my “counsel of critics” – start to tell you lies about failure and success. What do you do when you hit a speed bump?

The answer to this question does not lie in the “how – when – what” of weight loss. The answer lies in the “why.” Your personal “why” gives you energy. It inspires you, motivates you and drives you to complete your journey.

Supplements for weight loss

Some supplements are also an important part of weight loss. In many people they represent the critical difference between success and failure in lifetime weight control. However, you must always remember that they are supplements; they supplement a diet and exercise program. Use them wisely as an important part of your total wellness program.

Remember to let your desire fuel your action; let your actions harmonize with your sense of purpose. Simply be resolved to live a life of purpose and you will have the energy to get beyond the speed bumps. ** END of ARTICLE **

Ok, now that you have a better understanding of the “mechanics of weight loss”, what are you going to do about it? Are you struggling with your weight? Are you looking to shed a few pounds so you can finally look good in your swimsuit? Well then, it’s time to take action! Mr. Minshew has laid the foundation, but it’s up to you to get started. No one can do it for you. Weight loss is personal, and until you take the necessary action to finally loss weight, nothing’s going to happen. So, let’s get started!

Weight LossWeight Loss

Millions of people per year take on the challenge of losing weight. According to some web sites, weight loss is a $30 billion industry. However, research has shown that 95% of those who lose weight eventually gain it back within three years. That has been called the “yo-yo dieting” by some health professionals.

Yo-yo dieting, also known as weight cycling, is the repeated loss and regain of body weight due to excessive hypocaloric dieting. The term “yo-yo dieting” was coined by Kelly D. Brownell, Ph.D., at Yale University, in reference to the cyclical up-down motion of a yo-yo. In this process, the dieter is initially successful in the pursuit of weight loss but is unsuccessful in maintaining the loss long-term and begins to gain the weight back. The dieter then seeks to lose the regained weight, and the cycle begins again.[1]

Many weight loss companies focus on things that work in the long-term, such as, balanced nutrition with portion control, increased exercise and especially a long-term motivation to keep the weight off. However, their message is usually drowned out by the fad, gimmick and diet pill companies.

As a matter of fact, diets do not work. Diets are temporary. However, when you change your dietary lifestyle, you’re changing your habits – and you’re putting yourself on track for long-term / continued success and weight maintenance. In an article by the Chief Science Officer of TriVita, Brazos Minshew explains the how to lose weight and keep it off. I’ve posted the complete article below.

How to Avoid Sabotaging Your Weight Loss Goals by Brozos Minshew

This is the perfect time for an encouraging article on keeping your weight loss goals. Nearly half of all people in North America make a New Year’s Resolution to change something in their life. The most common commitment is to lose weight. Second is to exercise more. Third is to stop smoking.

Within a few weeks the number of people sticking to their resolve declines dramatically. Given the importance of improving our behavior, an encouraging word from an ally may be just the thing we all need to keep our resolve!

Mechanics of weight loss

Let’s review the best advice for weight loss that we have gathered from expert sources over the last several years.

How: Reduce your calorie intake to match your BMR (basal metabolic rate). BMR represents the number of calories your body needs at rest; in other words, your body burns these calories through basic functions. Click here for a BMR calculator (labeled Basal Metabolism). So, BMR represents the ideal number of calories you should eat in a day. Additionally, increase your activity to burn 1-2 pounds of fat per week.

  • When: Never eat within two hours of bedtime. Morning exercise is a bit better than evening exercise. Never consume more than 400 calories in an hour.
  • What: Eat according to an organized plan. For example, South Beach, Ornish, Mediterranean, etc. Do both aerobic and resistance exercises most days of the week.
  • Why: Your sense of purpose will dictate your actions step by step.

It inspires you, motivates you and drives you to complete your goal.

Remember to let your desire fuel your action; let your actions harmonize with your sense of purpose. Simply be resolved to live a life of purpose and you will have the energy to get beyond the speed bumps.

Common setbacks

  • Lack of support – Losing weight with an uncooperative family is very difficult. In fact, diet failure is far more common with kids at home than among empty-nesters. A great solution is to turn those sources of distraction into cheerleaders. Recruit your family into your support group. Ask them for help and you may be surprised how helpful a supportive family can be.
  • Social functions – Parties and family gatherings are another trigger for setbacks. Food and a festive environment are catalysts for overeating and skipping exercise. Careful planning in advance can really help with food selection and an exercise schedule. And if you do overindulge, remember the “calories in, calories out” rule and increase your exercise for a week or two to burn off the extra calories.
  • Emotional issues – Depression, discouragement and despondency are also common triggers for diet failure. Remembering the 10 Essentials for Health and Wellness can be a good antidote. For instance, Essential #6 teaches us that we need to Give and Receive Love for excellent health. Love moves us to make commitments, committing ourselves to a life of purpose. Purpose is the reason for action. Therefore, love can help us balance autonomy, commitment and purpose with fear, shame and doubt.

Conclusion

When we commit ourselves to such noble pursuits, they deserve our very best attention. We need to define our purpose as the foundation for success. Purpose is an important motivation to help us reshape our thinking. Purpose is the antidote to self-sabotage.

Ponder over each of these life-changing rules for healthy living. You will soon see that each of these gems reflect the light you need to see beliefs that no longer serve your best interests. You can confront self-sabotage and slay the dragons that keep you from reaching your goals. Also, learning and living the 10 Essentials provides you with powerful tools to reshape your attitudes into the very ones that can help you to reach your goals, live the life you want and fulfill your purpose. **END of ARTICLE**

Chronic Hunger and Weight LossChronic Hunger and Weight Loss

Millions of people worldwide look to diet and/or lose weight every year. However, on the flip side there are millions of men, women, and children suffering from a lack of food, or starvation. How is it that people can spend thousands of dollars on weight loss programs, to lose the unwanted pounds, all the while these people are literally starving to death?

My friends at the Help End Hunger Now Foundation, in their weekly hunger report, explains chronic hunger and the affects it has on the masses that are suffering from it throughout the world. The Help End Hunger Foundation is an organization founded on the principles of ending this chronic hunger crisis, while at the same time, promoting healthier and more nutritious eating habits.

Below is the complete article explaining what many people are facing and serious facts about chronic hunger. If you’re looking to lose weight or looking for a weight loss program, because of your bad eating habits, I pray that you will take to heart the information in the article, and take action to not only help yourself, but to help the many people that need help now.

Chronic Hunger by The Help End Hunger Now Foundation

What Causes Chronic Hunger?

You may be surprised to learn that it has little to do with food shortages. Global supplies of food far outstrip demand. Chronic hunger affects more than 800 million people in the world and it is, in and of itself, a potentially deadly condition.

The Effects of Chronic Hunger

Chronic hunger — or food insecurity — is as devastating to families, communities, and countries as is famine. Chronic hunger claims more victims than famine each year — by far.

Effects of chronic hunger include:

High Infant-Mortality Rates. Malnourished women are more likely to be sick, have smaller babies, and die earlier, resulting in high levels of infant mortality in areas where chronic hunger is a problem. And where infant and child mortality is high, birth rates are also high, locking these communities in a vicious cycle of malnutrition and death. Vulnerability to Common Illnesses. More than two million children die every year from dehydration caused by diarrhea. A malnourished child often lacks the strength to survive a severe case of diarrhea.

Increased Risk of Infection.

A malnourished child has a weakened immune system, making the child more vulnerable to infection. Infections cause lack of appetite and further compromise the child’s ability to fight off recurrent and lingering infections. Impediments to Development. Chronic hunger deprives children of the essential proteins, micronutrients and fatty acids they need to grow adequately. Globally, it is estimated that nearly 226 million children are stunted — shorter than they should be. In addition, stunted children score significantly lower on intelligence tests than do normal children.

Impediments to Economic Growth.

For the nearly 67 million children who weigh less than they should due to chronic hunger, completing school is an unlikely reality. Studies have shown that underweight children will probably spend fewer years in school, which, in turn, has a measurable impact on how much they earn in adulthood. ***END of ARTICLE***

Some reports state that there are approximately 50 million Americans who go on a diets each year – yet only 5 percent keep the weight off that they lost. Many people trying to lose weight continually struggle to find an effective weight loss method, yet millions of people are starving to death. Why? Awareness!

I would have to believe that most people do not know what’s happening around the world, let alone in their own neighborhood. And I believe it all starts with awareness. Being aware of the problems facing, not only, our neighborhood and/or nation, but other countries around the world is the first step towards ending the world hunger problem, not to mention obesity.

If you’re looking to lose weight, or looking for a weight loss program click here. Chronic hunger and weight loss go hand in hand when you have organizations like the Help End Hunger Foundation and TriVita® working to stop the world hunger issues, while helping people lose weight. If you’d like to help end hunger around the world, and lose weight at the same time, contact TriVita® or the Help End Hunger Now Foundation.

I hope this article has increased awareness within your heart as to the challenges of the world. If it has, I now challenge you to take action, and do something about it. Remember, awareness has to precede action; once we are aware of the problem, we can then take action. I hope you accept this challenge, so we can End Hunger Now!

Weight LossWeight Loss

As we approach January 2010 many of our new year’s resolutions will begin to take shape. A large group of individuals will probably start to think about getting in shape and losing weight. As this is the case almost every year, I would imagine that it’s no different this year.

With that said I feel it’s a good time to share TriVita’s latest Wellness Report with you. So, if exercise and weight loss are on your radar screen for the coming year, this report, written by Brazos Minshew, TriVita’s Chief Science Officer, should help you get started on the right track.

Calories: Time to Burn!
by Brazos Minshew

Losing weight is a challenge. It requires the same careful consideration that you would give to any serious endeavor; don’t fail to plan. But, create a plan that is realistic. Allow for interruptions such as sickness or travel. Plan to start during a quiet time in your life, not when work and family responsibilities are likely to be at their peak.

You may prefer to start with an exercise program and then add in dietary changes. Or you may want to do it the other way around. If you’re really motivated, you may want to start both the exercise and diet segments simultaneously.

Your diet

Very few aspects of your life are as emotionally charged as securing your right to choose for yourself. From early childhood until today, one of the most frequent choices you make concerns your diet. You must have choices and they must be your own. Recognize that restricting yourself from available choices goes against your very nature. A restrictive diet is doomed to failure. Select a diet that is uncomplicated and appealing to you and you will have a greater chance for success.

The first challenge we face in diet selection is committing to the discipline of thinking ahead instead of eating impulsively. So, start with something small and attainable:

  • Many health experts recommend fresh fruits and vegetables daily
    • 5 servings for children
    • 7 servings for women
    • 9 servings for men
  • Add high quality protein to your diet
  • Drink plenty of water

These are easy steps that you can accomplish today! Remember, the time you spend selecting the right diet for yourself is an investment in your health and your future. Give it the attention it deserves.

Calories in – calories OUT!

We must burn more calories than we consume in order for weight loss to occur.

Exercise is the key to permanent, lifetime weight control. There is no way around it. However, exercise does not have to be a punishment; it can really be pleasurable. The key is finding something you enjoy doing. I suggest that you start with three forms of activity; this prevents exercise boredom. Add more activities every month. Get in the habit of participating in at least 30 minutes of activity every day.

There are basically two types of exercise that you need every week:

  1. Aerobic exercise is defined as any activity that increases your need for oxygen. Aerobics make you breathe harder. You need at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise most days of the week.Aerobic exercise can balance hormones, relieve anxiety and depression, and mobilize your energy for the great works of your life. Aerobic exercise speeds up your metabolism.

But where does metabolism originate? It comes from your lean body mass your muscles! That is the domain of resistance training.

  2. Progressive resistance training is defined as any exercise where the load to the muscle is increased by some mechanical means – weights, bands, springs, and many other methods. The key is to progressively increase the weight or resistance over time. This results in more lean body mass and less fat mass. If you increase your muscle strength, you increase the “engines” that produce muscle energy. Nothing builds metabolism (muscle energy) as well as progressive resistance training.

Supplements for weight loss

A smart weight loss system can also be an important part of your weight loss plan. For many people it represents the critical difference between success and failure in lifetime weight control.

  • Fat burning capsules Weight Loss Capsules help increase metabolism and energy to support your body’s ability to burn more calories. Plus, they help limit cortisol production – the stress-induced hormone that can lead to abdominal fat.
  • Snack replacement chews Appetite Control Chews contain ingredients that are clinically proven to help curb the appetite.
  • Nutritional shakes Nutritional Shakes can be used as a low calorie meal substitute; they provide a healthy balance of wholesome carbohydrates, proteins, good fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals.

However, you must always remember that these are supplements; they supplement a healthy diet and exercise program. Use them wisely as an important part of your total wellness program.

Weight LossWeight Loss

What does healthy living mean to you? Does it mean giving up your favorite foods? Does it mean eating vegetables for breakfast and fruits for lunch? Does it mean exercising three times a day? Healthy living isn’t about starving yourself or testing your limits. It’s all about achieving balance between the physical, emotional, nutritional, and spiritual elements in your life.

A weight loss system can help to do just that, live a healthier lifestyle. Weight loss, in many cases, may be the first step to living a healthier lifestyle. If that’s the case, finding the right weight loss system may be right for you. If maintaining a healthy weight is more fitting for you, a weight loss system, may be right for you. Before I get into the benefits of any weight loss system, let’s first take a look at weight loss and what it means.

No matter what side of the fence you’re on, weight loss or weight management are the two biggest issues facing most people when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. Getting to a healthy weight and/or maintaining your current weight does not have to be difficult. It does, however, include change, change in your eating habits, exercise routine, emotional outlook, and your spiritual mind set.

A Lifestyle of Change

I’ve read somewhere that if you’re going to call this a “diet,” then you’re going to gain all the weight back in a very short period of time. It’s also been said, and I believe it, “diets do not work.” Diets are only a temporary fix, short term weight loss. However, when you change your dietary lifestyle, you change your habits. This lifestyle change will put you on the right track for long-term continued success and weight maintenance.

If you want to fail, tell someone that you’re on a diet. Most of your family and friends will tell you that diets do not work, and they are correct (just see the preceding paragraph). I know a lot of people that loose a lot of weight in the short term just to return to an even higher weight once the diet is over. It may work out well for a while, but will ultimately fail because their lifestyle didn’t change. And this change, if it’s going to work, has to be permanent.

Weight Loss is a Mind Game

Having the right frame of mind will help you stick to and achieve your goals. You have to have a positive mind set. You have to believe that this is what you want, to live a healthier lifestyle. Nobody can help you with this; it’s an inside game. And that’s where being connected to a source greater than self will drive you through the tough times.

God is the only living being that can help you through the tough times. He is the one that created you and he knows what’s best for you. Give your undivided attention to Him, and He will give you direction, strength, and will power. Everything we have comes from God. So start today and build a relationship with your creator.

Building a relationship with God is no different than building a relationship with those around you. You do it through sharing and listening, and you can do it by offering a daily simple prayer. By doing so, you will enjoy a sense of well-being you will not experience in any other way.

Take at least 15 minutes each day to spend in prayer, meditation, and inspirational reading. Make this a time to concentrate on the areas in your life where you most need Divine help. Seek out Divine comfort and direction every day. Once this is done, you can be assured that you’re on the right path to a healthier lifestyle.

A Weight Loss System

Many weight loss systems have shakes, which can provide a healthier alternative for a quick and convenient meal. Many have well-balanced nutritional profiles and contains elements that are essential to a healthy meal: protein, healthy carbs, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Besides helping to satisfy your hunger, shakes can provide the added health benefits of soy, omega fatty acids, and whole food concentrates.

Many shakes contain healthy fats and carbohydrates. many of us know that a well-balanced nutritious meal consists of appropriate fats, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, water, enzymes, phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals, and many other ingredients that nourish your body. Many shakes are designed as balanced nutrition.

Unlike your typical diet drink powdered formulas, most shakes contain the Omega-3 fats, soluble fiber, and volume of nutrients necessary to satisfy hunger for hours. Nutritional Shakes usually are available in delicious flavors, like chocolate, vanilla, and some form of berry.

Shakes are not a replacement for eating more nutritiously and/or physical activity. However, they are a great way to supplement your new healthy way of life.

Weight LossWeight Loss

The faster your metabolism runs, the more calories you burn. The more you burn, the easier it is to drop pounds. And get this – you can make your metabolism work harder, a lot harder, 24 hours a day.

Getting your metabolism to work at a higher degree is just part of the weight loss process. However, it’s what most nutrition experts say is the fastest way to lose those unwanted pounds.

A weight loss system (WLS) that I’ve written about before helps you increase your metabolism. The WSL capsules are made with nutrients – not stimulants – that promote lean body mass while helping reduce body fat. These fat-burning capsules help you avoid storing carbs and sugar as fat, while reducing food cravings.

“You have a huge amount of control over your metabolic rate,” says John Berardi, Ph.D., C.S.C.S., author of The Metabolism Advantage. “You can’t affect how many calories it takes to keep your heart beating, but you can burn an extra 500 to 600 calories a day by exercising properly and eating right.” And by making a few changes to your routine. [1]

There are approximately 50 million Americans who go on diets each year – yet only 5 percent keep the weight they lose off. Many people trying to lose weight continually struggle to find an effective weight loss method. Unfortunately, there is no magic wand someone can use to lose weight and/or to keep the weight off. Some experts say that the only proven way to lose weight and keep it off is by making permanent lifestyle changes. You must eat healthier, watch portion sizes and be active.

As part of your lifestyle change, I suggest trying three step system to weight loss. The WLS capsules are no ordinary “diet pills.” They are clinically proven to help reduce body weight and fat and are made with natural, stimulant-free ingredients, and have a fat burning accelerator (FBA).

Fat is really just stored energy. When you consume more energy – in the form of food – than your body can use, it is stored as fat. There are about 3,500 calories of energy stored in every pound of excess fat. The nutrients in this fat burning accelerator targets this stored energy and releases it.

The FBA liberates fat from your diet and your fat cells, and prepares it to be used as energy. Nutrients break down the fats into packets of fuel in your bloodstream and help your cells receive this fuel. Once the fuel enters your cells, it is burned and its energy is released.

Those WLS capsules do much more than convert fat to energy. They also help:

  • Limit cortisol production – the stress-caused hormone that can lead to belly fat
  • Control appetite by minimizing sweets and carb cravings
  • Use the carbs and sugar you consume as energy, rather than storing them as fat, which helps with blood sugar balance

Plus, those WSL capsules are convenient and easy to use. Simply take the capsules with meals or as a healthy snack.

Weight Loss MotivationWeight Loss Motivation

Why do some people lose weight on their own, while others need the support of an easy to follow structured program? Motivation! Some overweight people are successful at losing weight on their own because they know that it can reduce the threat of heart disease. On the other hand, some overweight people may not see that as a motivating factor.

Becoming, and staying, motivated to lose weight may be easier with a structured weight loss program. Let’s take a look at what you should look for in such a program.

Before joining any structured weight loss program, make sure they will teach you how to change your eating habits and lifestyle factors permanently. For example, make sure they focus in on the importance of physical activity, and how the lack of that activity has contributed to your weight gain.

Make sure that the staff made up of a variety of qualified counselors and health professionals such as nutritionists, registered dietitians, doctors, nurses, psychologists, and exercise physiologists. Before undertaking any weight loss program you want to be evaluated by a physician. It’s important for them to know if you have any health problems, are currently taking any medicine, or plan on taking any medicine, or plan to lose more than 15 to 20 pounds. If your weight control plan calls for a very low-calorie diet, an exam and scheduled follow-up visits to a doctor are suggested.

The program should provide long-term strategies to deal with weight problems you may have in the future. These strategies might include things like setting up a support system and establishing a physical activity routine. After all, the reason for joining a weight loss program is to, not only lose weight but, keep it off.

So make sure you choose a program that teaches skills and techniques to make permanent changes in eating habits and levels of physical activity to prevent weight gain.

Many weight loss methods that rely on diet aids like drinks, prepackaged foods, or diet pills typically don’t work in the long run. However, there is one weight loss system that I’ve found to be very effective. It’s sad to say that registered trademarks prevent me from naming the weight loss system by name, so I’ll just use the initials, WLS.

The WLS products are scientifically formulated and physician approved. They are natural, nutrient based, and contain no stimulants. The WLS has been clinically proven for optimal, healthy weight loss. The WLS system of products is convenient and easy to use!

The reason the WLS has been so effective is because of its three part process. This is not your “take one pill a day” claim to weight loss. It’s a system! It’s a process! It’s a steady, slow process, that gets results. Anything worth while, including weight loss takes time, a conscious effort, and a strong weight loss motivation. It does not happen overnight!

Remember, quick weight loss methods DO NOT provide lasting results. Whether you lose weight on your own or with a group, the most important changes are long term. Furthermore, no matter how much weight you have to lose, modest goals and a slow course will increase your chances of both losing the weight and keeping it off.

Food is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills. The food that you eat can either make you thinner or fatter. One myth that keeps surfacing is “you get fat because of the lack of exercise.” I don’t buy that. You get fat because you don’t eat the right foods at the proper time each day.

The time you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pill. The reason this is true is because your body is like an “engine”, it needs certain foods at certain intervals of each day. If you don’t eat the right foods at the right times then it won’t burn the calories needed to loose weight. You body will wind up storing those calories as fat tissue.

The plain fact is, you gained weight and/or became overweight by eating the wrong foods. No the good news; You can slim down, or loose weight, by eating the proper foods at the proper intervals each day. Yes, it is possible to loose weight by eating food that your body requires to function properly.

If you’re like most people, constantly on the go, and eating fast food, it’s hard to eat the proper food. If that’s the case, you may need a weight loss system to help you loose those unwanted pounds.

That brings me to weight loss systems, and what to look for. Look for a system that offers the most advanced weight loss products and an easy system to follow. Having the proper products and system will help you lose weight the smart and healthy way!

Finding products that are scientifically formulated and physician approved are also very important. Make sure they are natural, nutrient based, and contain no stimulants. Finding products that have been clinically proven for optimal healthy weight loss can go a long way in your decision making process.

Many top notch weight loss products will help you lose the weight you’ve dreamed of. So, if you can’t loose weight by eating the proper food at the proper time, do some research and find a weight loss system, or ask me. I have one in mind that may just work.
